Hi everybody,
I'm wondering if only songs made by authors dead since more than 70 years ago are in Public Domain... Or there are other ways to enter that cathegory..
I ask this because I'd like to use some of the music stored here for a non-commercial web radio, but I need this music to be Public Domain for sure.
Eg: Django Reinhardt is dead less than 70 years ago, but still he is here: https://archive.org/details/DjangoReinhardt-01-10
Is this actually Public Domain or not?
Thank you.

Hi pilotti.
There are a few naughty folks who upload whatever they like.
For music, it's safe to say that anything before 1923 is public domain, but there are exceptions.
Here's a chart that might help.
